Keep Going, Softly

This past week has been a tough one. I didn’t post my usual blog. I haven’t been as present online. Truthfully? I’ve been tired. Run down. Discouraged, even.

But here’s what I’m learning: tired doesn’t mean finished.

I want to create, I want to show up, and I want to keep building this space. But sometimes, my body and mind remind me that healing takes energy. And lately, I’ve been trying to heal.

Healing is exhausting. It’s messy, chaotic, emotional—and it doesn’t follow a straight line. Some days you’ll feel like you’re making progress. Other days, it feels like you’re dragging yourself through mud. Healing isn’t something that happens overnight, and it’s definitely not something you do once and then check off a list. Much like our physical health, healing is something that has to be tended to, maintained, and nurtured.

And that process? It takes a lot out of you.

But I’ve been here before. Back in 2018, when I injured my leg, I was determined to walk again. And I did. That experience taught me that even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s slow, even when it feels impossible—you keep going.

What I’m reminding myself now is this: giving 25% is better than giving 0%. Even in my tiredness, I can still move forward. I can still keep going, softly.

And maybe you need that reminder too. If you’re in the middle of your own healing, know this: it’s okay to rest. It’s okay to feel tired. But it’s not okay to give up.

No matter how messy or slow it feels, healing is still happening. And as long as you keep showing up for yourself, step by step, you’re already further than you were yesterday.

✨ Affirmation:

“I give myself permission to heal at my own pace. Even when I’m tired, I am still moving forward. I honor my effort, no matter how small, and I trust that every step I take—softly or strongly—is proof that I am becoming whole.”

So here’s to both of us—choosing to keep going, softly but surely. 💛
